The story behind
loxtonia cider
Loxtonia Farm is situated in the heart of the Western Cape farmlands, in the Ceres Valley. The art of making fine apple cider first took place at Loxtonia Farm in 2013, when Larry Whitfield, Founder & Head Cider Maker identified a gap in the South African market for a premium, "orchard to bottle" cider. Larry, started doing research on blending apple cultivars, after travelling to different cider-making regions to gain further insight. Our family values are honesty, commitment & sustainability and these are also the core values of Loxtonia Cider.
Loxtonia Cider was officially established in 2018 and became the first Cidery in South Africa.
