Our values

CORE FAMILY VALUES

What better name to represent our family venture than the place where it all began – the Loxtonia fruit farm

Our family values are honesty, commitment & sustainability and these are also the core values of Loxtonia Cider. Our natural ciders are testament to our family’s commitment to producing products that are high in quality and kind to the environment.

We are proud of Loxtonia’s family heritage & conscious of the privilege and responsibility we have to produce a product that is not only delicious but is kind to our planet.
Our philosophy

ORCHARD TO BOTTLE

Our Orchard-to-Bottle philosophy is at the core of everything we do and why we do it.

We believe in bringing to life the true essence of the apple cider we make and capturing the goodness of this magnificent fruit in a bottle. Special care is taken in the orchard to grow and nurture each and every one of our apple varieties.

This journey begins in the soil and ends with cider, remaining true to our roots.
Our mission

MAKING WHAT WE LOVE, NATURALLY

All of our ciders are made in the most simple, natural and carefully thought out way possible. With as little intervention as we can, we aim to produce ciders that use only the purest of ingredients. Not only do we champion natural ingredients, but our production process is run off solar energy!

Like our philosophy “Orchard to Bottle“, we believe that everything you need to create the perfect cider can be found in the natural nutrients delivered by our soil, water and The Ceres Valley sunshine!

THE PROCESS

By using the very best apples for cider, sustainable techniques and freshly pressed apples, our ciders are true to the essence of each apple variety. We focus on perfecting our ciders with no artificial ingredients and do not compromise the value of the apple by changing the juice extracted from the apple in any mechanical or chemical way.

In order to produce the best possible cider, we pick, sort, press and extract the juice from the apples on the farm itself. The crushing and pressing is done by using the best pressing system currently available in the world of cider-making, as it uses minimal water to extract the finest juice for fermentation. The apple juice then goes directly to fermentation with no interference!

During the cider ferment, we use techniques such as controlled cooling in specially designed stainless steel tanks, as well as carefully selected cross-flow filtration system to clean the cider without hurting the flavours. This results in a truly honest and top quality cider!
